On September 22, 1998, there was founded " Spanish Club of Bernese Mountain Dog " for a small group of enthusiasts and lovers of the race.

In these years was very few BMD´s (Internet was very little spread, this way quite we try(mean) it; we started knowing each other in magazines, newspapers and other publications specializing in the canine world (some of them even have disappeared); for example in the year 2000 in DOGS AND COMPANY (Spanish magazine).

The time has passed and we continue fighting for our objetives that are the following:

The diffusion of the race Bernese mountain Dog in Spain.

The improvement of the race for the selection and the development of the physical and psychic qualities of the dogs, following the procedure of his your standard recognized by the F.C.I. (Canine International federation).

To advise the breeders, owners and other fans of this race.

The organization of exhibitions and competitions with the collaboration of the different Canine Societies dependent on the Royal Canine Society of Spain, for the celebration of events of our race.

The diffusion between the breeders, owners and fans of information relative of the current importance of the world of the Bernese Mounatin Dog and to promote the relations between the associates and with other clubs.

For it we want to possess the help of all of you and this way to be able to confront successfully these ends, therefore we ask for your collaboration as associate, and your help for the diffusion of this club.
